I am a boutique floral design studio focusing on weddings and special events in the Washington, Baltimore and Northern Virginia areas. My primary focus is floral arrangements but I can also assist with the overall event concept and design.
I meet clients by appointment only at my private design studio or at a mutually agreeable location. It is generally best to meet once you’ve decided on your venue locations, gown, bridesmaid dresses, etc., about six to eight months prior to your event.
I love to see your ideas whether magazine tear outs or pinterest pins! Bring them all to your initial consult or send me links. I want to hear all the details and just how you envision your day to look. You can tell me what flowers you hate and what flowers you can’t live without. I also want to know your budget (usually 10-15% of the overall wedding budget).
After our initial consultation, I will provide a detailed, preliminary estimate based on our discussions. We can work together to adjust it as needed. Consultations are always complimentary.
Budgets and Pricing
I don’t have an event minimum. I am happy to work within your budget to help you make your vision come to life. You can expect a wedding including bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, centerpieces, aisle arrangements and ceremony arrangements to generally begin at $2,000.
Each event is unique and flower costs vary by availability and season. Therefore all estimates are custom based on flower cost, labor and materials.
Booking Your Date
Should you decide to hire me as your floral designer, I will ask that you pay a 15% non-refundable deposit to reserve your date. The deposit will be applied to your final balance. You can call me or shoot me an email to let me know a check made payable to 41st Flower Design Studio is on its way and your date will be reserved. Please note that really popular months fill up fast so don’t wait too long to make a decision if your wedding is in May, June, August, September or October in particular!
In addition, we will execute a floral agreement specifying the details of your event and the responsibilities of each party.
Once you have reserved your date with 41st Flower you can change your mind a million times about your flowers up until the date the flowers are ordered - usually two to three weeks prior to your wedding date. I promise to be patient!
Your final consultation will happen about three to four weeks before your wedding date. This consultation can either be by phone, emails, or in person. We will review all the final details make changes if needed. We will confirm your guest count and make final decisions on your favorite flowers, centerpiece needs, ceremony needs, boutonnieres & corsages etc. If your budget or wish list needs to be reduced or increased, we will be able to make it all work during this appointment. You will also need to make your final payment at this time.
